New Delhi, August 08: G Electronics India, a home appliances company, successfully orgainsed the third round of Mallika-e-Kitchen Cooking Contest 2011 at Hotel Chillies in the city. Around 100 contestants from Hyderabad participated in the third round of the contest. The participants brought their microwave cooked dishes along with the recipes which were scrutinised, on predefined parameters, by the panel of judges. B Sreedevi and S Latha were the winners from Hyderabad have qualified for the next stage, which will take place later this month. There will be a total of 4000 contestants participating in the local rounds. Winners were gratified through Chief Guests Mrs. E. Dhanalaxmi, Corporator of 17thward, P&T colony and Mrs. Sesha Kumari, President of Bhavani Mahila Mandali, Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajiv Jain, Business Head, Home Appliances, LG Electronics India said, “I am delighted to be a part of the Mallika-E-Kitchen contest. The response in Hyderabad has been tremendous. Mallika-e-Kitchen is an endeavor to showcase LG’s commitment towards the Indian consumer by promoting the spirit of healthy cooking. Mallika-E-Kitchen is a three stage cooking contest which will be organised nationwide over a period of three months. This year, the contest will conclude in September. It will offer a unique opportunity to the women across the country to exhibit their talent and get a chance to demonstrate their culinary skills at a national level.
