Malkajgiri MLA quits politics

Malkajgiri MLA Akula Rajender on Thursday announced retirement from the active politics following threats that he has been receiving for the last few days.

Speaking to media persons in the Assembly premises here, Rajender alleged that he has been receiving threats to his life since he joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi by resigning from the Congress party. He alleged that MPRS founder Krishan Madiga was threatening him of dire consequences for the last few days. He also alleged that Union Minister Sarve Satyanarayana was responsible for those threat. He said he has filed a complaint with the Cyberabad Police by furnishing the entire call list.

Therefore, on his mother’s advise he has decided to quit active politics. He said he would not be associated with any political party in future. (INN)
