Hyderabad, March 19: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka secretary Dusi Ramakrishna has said some political parties are trying to gain political mileage by linking the organisation with ‘Hindu terror outfits’ in the country. The malicious campaign against the RSS is meant to woo minorities in the country, he said.
Addressing a press conference here yesterday, Ramakrishna who attended the all-India general body meeting of RSS held Karnataka on March 11, 12 and 13, said it adopted resolutions against corruption and a series of scandals in the UPA-II regime.
“There is a need to organise every rung of social order on a firm foundation of value-based and morally strong conduct of life rooted in the eternal principals of Dharma. This is possible only by reorienting the education-system to reflect the national ethos and serve as an effective instrument of character-building,” he said.
Referring to China’s aggressive postures on various issues, Ramakrishna said the Centre should take urgent measures for modernisation of Indian defence forces.
“Constitution of a border region development agency should be considered which would help prevent migration of people from border villages, ” he said.
Condemning demolition of statues of prominent personalities on Tank Bund by pro- Telangana activists during Million March, the RSS leader said the organisation would never support any kind of violence in any people’s movement. The RSS cadres are free to take part in the proposed BJP Jana Jagarana programme in April, which is aimed at highlighting corruption in the Congress regime, he said.
