Malaysian university students visit KU

Srinagar, November 22: Kashmir University students today had a chance to interact with their counterparts from a Malaysian varsity and exchange views on academic and cultural issues.

The special interaction session, held at the KU’s Allama Iqbal Library here, was organised by the department of students welfare, university Spokesman Shoukat Shafi told PTI.

The students from International Islamic University (IIU), Malaysia and KU exchanged their views on teaching methodology and the cultural activities in Malaysia and Kashmir, Shafi said.

The Dean, Students Welfare, Prof Nilofar Khan, welcomed the guests and informed them about different academic and co-curricular activities taking place in the university.

Director, Students Development Division of the IIU, Dr Akmar Khuzairy Abdul Rahman introduced his colleagues to the KU students and deliberated upon several issues including the socio-economic set-up in Malaysia, and how the country has won laurels in sectors like economy and academics.
