Sangareddy: Two Malaysian tourists visited Hyderabad to spend the weekend in prison. They want to experience the environment in jail.
According to the report published in Telangana Today, Ng Inn Wo, a dentist by profession and Ong Boon Tek, a businessman, flew from Kuala Lumpur to Hyderabad on Saturday morning. After landing in Hyderabad, they drove to Sangareddy District to spend the weekend in prison.
It may be mentioned that since the Department of Prisons and Correctional Services introduced “Feel the Jail” programme at Heritage Jail Museum in Sangareddy, 47 persons spend time in jail by paying Rs. 500 for 24 hours. This programme was started in the month of September 2016.
Talking about the visit of Malaysians, Mr. Santosh Rai, Superintendent told that this is the first time when foreigners spend weekend in Sangareddy jail. He also said that no other country provides this facility.
Speaking to media persons, Ng Inn Wo told that they came to know about the programme online. They will return to Kuala Lumpur on Monday.
