Condemning “atrocious” remarks of Pastor P.D. Sundaram against Constitution maker “Bharat Ratna” B R Ambedkar, the Mala Mahanadu activists burned an effigy of the Pastor at Hyderguda on Friday.
Speaking to the media later, Mala Mahanadu new president Gagamandla Chennaiah said they would not tolerate if any one make derogatory remarks against Dr Ambedkar. He also demanded that Pastor P.D. Sundaram tender an unconditional apology and rub his nose before the Ambedkar statue at the Tank Bund.
The Mala Mahanadu leader also warned Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy of dire consequences if he dared to divert the SC, ST Sub-plan funds to other sectors. Stating that TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu was trying to divide the Dalits and unilaterally supporting the Madigas, Chennaiah warned that Malas would teach him a fitting lesson in the ensuing Assembly elections.
The Mala Mahanadu leader has demanded that the State government appoint the senior IAS officer Samuel as the new chief secretary to the government.
Mala Mahanadu leaders Augamaiah, Nagesh, Jangam Sreenu, Balakrishna and others were present. (NSS)
