Makkah Mukarramah witnessed 80 lakh visitors in first ashra of Ramadan

8 million people visited Grand Mosque during first 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan, an increased by 49% from last year, confirmed the Haj and Umrah Public Administration in the governorate of Makkah region.

Saqr, Director of Hajj and Umrah department said the transportation plan adopted and monitored by Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, governor of Makkah and adviser of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and chairman of the Central Haj Committee.

The number of vehicles that transported the visitors to the Grand Mosque amounted to more than 38,000 cars, an increase of 25 percent from last year during the same period.

The plan is to transport 25 million visitors to and from the Grand Mosque.
