Although government has claimed to make all necessary arrangements to provide facilities to the devotees in all major masajid of the city during Ramadanul Mubarak, but the historical Makkah Masjid still lacks basic facilities. Thousands of people reach Makkah Masjid to offer Taravih prayer but they are not provided with basic facilities.
Even though the cistern is filled with water but the water has not raised to the level that devotees can easily perform ablution hence they have to head towards ablution house where less number of taps add to the woes of the devotees. Devotees also complain that there are no cleaning arrangements in the washrooms. There are stones and pits in the courtyard and because of poor lighting system devotees are stumbling upon the stones and getting injured. Not all the fans in the hall of the masjid are functional.
