Hyderabad: As the temperature rises in the city to mark the beginning of summer, Muslims offered Friday prayer under a hot sun without any shed over them.
It may be noted that during the Friday prayer, Muslims in large numbers offer prayer at the historic Makkah Masjid. Every year a temporary shed would be built during the summer season by the Wakf Board of Telangana to prevent the devotees from direct sunlight.
Last week the advisory member of Government of Telangana AK Khan visited the Mosque to inspect the restoration work as the Mosque is undergoing one of the most significant restorations by the government of Telangana.
The Wakf Board of Telangana should take note of this three-centuries-old heritage Mosque and build a temporary shed as soon as possible to prevent devotees from direct sunlight and heat.
