Makkah Masjid Bomb Blast Case: Here’s how Javed Akhtar taunts NIA after acquittal of accused

New Delhi: Special Court of National Investigation Agency (NIA) had acquitted all accused in the Makkah Masjid blast case due to lack of evidence. The judgment was pronounced on Monday, 16th April.

According to the report published in Times Now, days after the judgment, Lyricist Javed Akhtar tweeted, ” Mission accomplished !! . My congratulations to NIA for their grand success in Mecca Masjid case. Now they have all the time in the world to investigate inter community marriages !!!”.

Reacting to Akhtar’s tweet, BJP Spokesperson, GVL Narasimha Rao tweeted “Javed Ji, Wish you had the honesty to condemn @INCIndia for “Hindu Terror” formulation. Seems you are in awe of @RahulGandhi for writing a fictional script like you have done so well in films. OR, is “Hindu Terror” also your brainwave as your reported idea of “Maut Ka Saudagar?”.

Earlier, BJP had accused the Congress of “defaming” the Hindu religion by coining the term “saffron terror” and demanded apologies from Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi.

It may be mentioned that a bomb blast occurred in Makkah Masjid on 18th May 2007 in which 9 worshippers were killed and more than 50 persons were injured.
