Makkah Masjid blast case accused shifted to Hyderabad

Hyderabad, June 17: The Central Bureau of Investigation today shifted the two Makkah Masjid blast case accused Devendra Gupta and Lokesh Sharma to Hyderabad and produced them before the Nampally criminal courts. However both the accused were sent to 14 days judicial remand and later shifted to Chanchalguda jail.

Earlier the Hyderabad city police today made heavy security arrangements at Nampally criminal courts and the accused were escorted by the DCP Task Force V.B.Kamalsan Reddy along with his teams. Last week the CBI secured PT warrants against the Ajmer blast case accused Devendra Gupta and Lokesh Sharma from the concerned court and today they were shifted from the Ajmer District jail. The arrested accuseds are allegedly having links with the Hindu Terror outfit Abhinav Bharat. Devendra and Lokesh were earlier arretsed by the sleuthd of Rajasthan ATS on the charges of carrying blast at Dargah Ajmer.

The 12th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate had sent the accused to 14 days judicial custody till 30 June. The Senior Public prosecutor for CBI Mr.. C.V.Ramana told that the two accused were brought to Hyderabad on a PT warrant for the purpose of investigation.

On May 18,2007 on the eve of Friday a powerful bomb rocked Makkah Masjid leaving nine persons dead and leaving many injured.
