Former Chief Election Commissioner, James Michael Lingdoh today asserted that democracy can reign in supreme through good governance for development. He expressed concern that though India has tremendous youth force they are incapable of competing at global level.
Lingdoh was addressing a three-day training classes for TRS leaders at Vijaya Vihar in Nargarjuna Sagar along with noted Economist Ch Hanumantha Rao, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, TRS Secretary General K Kesava Rao and ASCI Director General Ravikanth. Flora and fauna of democracy can be fructified through good governance with a focus on welfare of the poor besides a stimulus in state growth, he remarked. It is imperative for the leaders to vie among themselves to offer an unswerving stint of flawless and yet spotless regime and ensure delivery of goods to the unreached. Senior leaders should guide the juniors for good governance and remain success, he said.
He also cited that leaders in United States are successful in their efforts to serve people as they used to take experts help. The former CEC expressed concern at the flow of money during elections which must be prevented through people centric policies. (NSS)
