Chief Secretary SK Joshi today said that the state government will conduct the famous Fish Prasadam distribution on a grand scale at Exhibition Grounds in Nampally for two days on June 8 and 9.
He directed the departments concerned to take all measures to avoid any sort of inconvenience to the people. Bathina Harinath Goud family will distribute the Fish Prasadam to the people who come from other districts and states as usual, he said. Joshi conducted a high level coordination meeting with officials at Secretariat and directed the latter to take every measure for hassle-free conduct of the two day event. Since lakhs of people throng the Exhibition Grounds for Fish Prasadam (medicine) on the occasion of Mrigashira Karthi, the officials of various departments should coordinate for better conduct of the program.
The fisheries wing will provide adequate number of fish for the event which should be free from traffic problems, he said. SK Joshi asked the officials for barricading, traffic regulation, uninterrupted power and drinking water supply, mobile toilets, fire tenders and sanitation in and around the exhibition grounds, sheds and health camps as part of the arrangements. Joshi also asked the officials to set up ambulance services at the premises.(NSS)
