Jeddah, July 06: Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Haj Committee, has called on agencies participating in Haj works this year to make the Haj easier with security and peace of mind for the pilgrims.
This is a strategic goal, Prince Naif said adding that there should be no laxity or negligence in implementing the Haj plan.
Presiding over a meeting of the Supreme Haj Committee here on Sunday, Prince Naif stressed the importance of collective efforts of all agencies participating in Haj works this year and urged them to derive maximum benefits from the successful results of last year’s Haj.
Prince Naif underlined the sophisticated potentials and facilities that the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has placed at the disposal of the pilgrims to make their Haj easier. Furthermore, thousands of qualified cadres have been mobilized to provide these services.
“This comes within the endeavor to achieve the noble goal and sublime Islamic message that Allah honored this country – leadership and people – with, that is, to care for the holy sites, serve those coming to them and facilitate them in performing their rites in an atmosphere of tranquility and safety,” Prince Naif said.
Members of the Supreme Haj Committee including the Emir of Makkah Region, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs, Emir of Madina Region, General President for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, Ministers of Finance, Haj, Planning and Economy, Transportation, Telecommunications and IT, Culture and Information, among others participated in the meeting.
They discussed subjects related to Haj and pilgrims’ safety.
