Maulana Khaja Shareef of Jamia Nizamia while addressing a gathering at Jeddah told that a person who has one time meals is not eligible to beg. When people have everything, there is no justification for begging for dowry in matrimonial alliances. Quoting the hadith, he proved the illegitimacy of dowry.
He told that wife is the life partner and therefore, she has major portion of the rights. It is binding on the son to serve his parents whereas it is not binding on the daughter-in-law. Maulana Abdur Rauf highlighted the disadvantages of not paying meher amount by husbands. These days, a meager amount is fixed for meher and more amount is spent lavishly on other trivial things. Mr. Azeem Khan Falaki highlighted the sunnat of marriage with reference to hadith. Dr. Syed Ali Mahmood highlighted the importance of unity of Allah and the obedience of Prophet Mohammed (SAWS) Shaik Junaid Alam read out an article on the right beliefs. Syed Khaja Vicaruddin presented an article on “Mother’s love”. He emphasized on the training of daughters. Hafiz Shaik Hussain conducted the meeting.
