TTD vigilance officials on Saturday unearthed a major “Laddu Prasadam” scam at Tirumala.
According to the information, the TTD sleuths picked up two employees of the temple, who were allegedly involved in printing fake Laddu coupons depriving the Devasthanam of huge revenue. The scam came to light when some TTD employees brought to the notice of higher officials about some fake Laddu coupons, which were found recently. It was found that fake Laddu coupons were being printed in the TTD printing press itself.
The TTD vigilance officials have plunged into action and picked up two employees and questioning them about the modus operandi of the scamsters. (NSS)
