Majlis contest from Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat

MIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi announced that his party would contest from the Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat apart from fielding candidates from other Assembly constituencies.

Making the party expansion plans public at the well attended meeting at Mallepally, Asaduddin said that the Majlis would also field candidates from Jubilee Hills, Rajendernagar, Adoni and Nizamabad.

There are seven Assembly segments within the Secunderabad parliamentary constituency – Musheerabad, Amberpet, Khairtabad, Jubilee Hills, Sanathnagar, Nampally and Secunderabad, which have an estimated Muslim population between 25 percent and 60 percent which would make the party a strong contender, party leaders said.
