Maintain peace during Ramzan, DGP to officials

Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) V Dinesh Reddy today asked the police officials to take necessary steps for ensuring peace during the Ramzan period. Speaking at a review meeting here, the DGP also said prompt enquiry must be made on the petitions and FIRs for issuing a copy then and there itself depending on the importance of representation. Erring officials will be made accountable if any sort of complaints were there and lethargy will be viewed seriously Mr Reddy said. He said freshly recruited SIs/Inspectors/DSPs will be closely watched for educating and moulding them as useful effective officials.

Visible policing must be strengthened on all the National/State Highways and analysis has to be made besides measures taken for preventing accidents, the DGP said. When referred by Police Headquarter (PHQ), the concerned should be able to answer properly to the queries, Mr Reddy said, adding promotions as per vacancies at all levels HC, SIs, CIs, DSPOs will be issued by duly following the rules and regulations expeditiously.
