Mumbai: After the Kamala Mills fire incident that claimed 14 lives in a massive fire outbreak was reported, yet another incident is reported from Mumbai’s Andheri West were four people have lost their lives after Maimoon building caught fire on Wednesday.
The fire that broke out on the third floor of the building located in Marol killed at least four people while injuring seven others. As per reports, the firemen rescued at least 11 people from the fire.
“Mumbai Fire Brigade got call at , .10 am about fire at the fourth floor of Ground plus Mamoon Manzil building at Marol in Andheri East. Our fire brigade personnel along with the firefighting system and ambulance reached at the spot at 2.34 am and swung into action to douse the fire,” said an official from Disaster Management Unit of BMC as quoted by ZEE news.
The official further said, “Firemen covered the fire from all side at 4.20 AM. A total of nine people were injured of which four were declared brought dead by the nearby hospital,” adding the injured were immediately rushed to Cooper and Mukund hospitals for medical attention while “Their condition is stable,” reported news track.
