Kandikal Gate Road over Bridge, built at a cost of Rs.37.29 crore, to provide hassle-free travel to commuters will be inaugurated by Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Monday, August 31.
According to GHMC sources work on this project began in June 2012 and the total length is 837.45 mt, carriageway width: 2×7.0 mt, service road width is 4.50 m, on either sides.
Once opened for the commuting traffic, it is expected to ease congestion on Charminar – Falaknuma – Chandrayangutta roads and reduce the traveling distance. It will also provide good connectivity between Hyderabad to Shamsabad airport via Barkas.
