New Delhi, Sept 10 : Mahindra raised the curtain from its highly anticipated compact SUV TUV300 in India. Starting at Rs. 6.9 lakh (ex-showroom), the SUV comes equipped with automated manual transmission (AMT). Mahindra TUV300 stands against Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster. Installed with a 1.5-liter twin-scroll mHawk80 diesel engine, the SUV offers 18.09kmpl ARAI certified mileage.
The TUV300 is taken care of by a five-speed manual AMT gearbox. Mahindra will be exporting TUV300 to its export markets like South Africa. With its manufacturing unit paced at Chakan, Mahindra eyes a production capacity of around 5,000 units in a month.
Mahindra TUV300 is also speculated to be available to its customers in Micro Hybrid technology avatar. The company also offers models like Scorpio using hybrid technology.
Micro Hybrid technology will help to save fuel by switching off the engine when the vehicle comes to a halt. The car also features Dual-airbags ABS with EBD that easily caters to both current and future safety norms. (ANI)
