Bengaluru: Mahindra Group arm Mahindra Bus and Truck Division (MBTD) on Wednesday launched its ‘Blazo’ heavy commercial truck series which includes haulage, tractor tailor and tipper range of vehicles.
“We are confident that new Blazo heavy commercial vehicle range will further enhance our position in the market by significantly improving the customer value proposition,” said MBTD Chief Executive Nalin Mehta.
The Blazo series has been equipped with ‘FUELSMART’ technology along with the introduction of CRDe multi drive mode which is usually found in passenger cars, he said, adding the multi drive mode feature offers Turbo, Heavy and Light modes to enable a driver to negotiate and switch performance according to the load and road conditions.
With Blazo series, MBTD has offered two guarantees to a customer – returning the truck to the company in case of failure of the promised mileage delivery and a promise to pay Rs 1,000 a day when the breakdown service does not put the truck back on road within 48 hours.
MBTD has already sold more than 17,000 trucks and is in the process of addressing every segment of commercial vehicle between 3.5 tonnes to 49 tonnes.
Currently the company is developing a new range of medium and heavy commercial vehicles at its green field plant in Chakan spread over 700 acres and set up with an investment of over Rs 4,000 crore.
A part of the automotive and farm sector of $17.8 billion Mahindra Group, MBTD offers a range of integrated trucking solutions.
