Mumbai, October 06: Producer Mahesh Bhatt was told by Censor Board that if he wanted a U/A certificate for his film Crook which releasing on 8th Oct, he will have to edit out a scene with a topless firang actress in it.
Alternatively, he could keep the scene and have his film get an ‘A’ certificate. Mahesh choose the film to be ‘A’ certified than deleting the scene. Though the director of the film, Mohit Suri, tried to convince him otherwise, Bhatt insisted that the film be released as ‘Adults Only’.
According to Bhatt, the scene is important to the film. It so happens that the male lead gets drunk and passes out in the firang actress’s car and later finds himself in her bed. He wakes up to go to the washroom and when he comes back he sees the actress changing with her back to him.
Mahesh had even tussled with his nephew Emraan Hashmi who is starring in the film over the same sex scene.
