Telangana Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy on Wednesday warned of serious action if the private transport operators put passengers lives at risk to make profits.
Speaking to media persons after taking charge in the State Secretariat here, Mahender Reddy said that the officials have been asked to act tough against all transport operators to ensure that they follow the safety norms. Recalling the Palem volvo bus accident, which claimed 45 lives, he said steps would be taken to ensure that such tragic incidents do not recur in future.
Mahender Reddy also promised that the TRS Government would provide bus service for every village in the Telangana State. He said effective, affordable and safe travel would be priority of Telangana Government. (INN)
