Mr. Lateef Mohammed Khan, Secretary, Civil Liberties Committee in a press statement issued yesterday said that the election result of Mahboobnagar is the defeat of secularism. It also shows that Telangana movement has now turned into Hindutva movement.
The main cause of it is22 Telangana Political JAC and the attitude of TRS. They have compromised with the racist party BJP in the name of Telangana. On the other hand, Congress and TDP have resorted to dual role on Telangana issue. Due to this reason BJP got an opportunity to stabilize its footsteps in Telangana.
He also said that for the defeat of Syed Ibrahim, KCR and Prof. Kodandaram Reddy are directly responsible. Mr. KCR didn’t campaign seriously for a Muslim candidate in Mahboobnagar if Mr. KCR has any regard for his words, he should accept the moral responsibility of Syed Ibrahim’s defeat and he should apologize to the Muslims.
He should resign from the parliamentary seat of Mahboobnagar and make a Muslim candidate successful from there. Only in that case, he would be able to regain the confidence of the Muslims.
