Hyderabad, September 14: Mahboob bi was born in a well to do family; she might not have even thought of it in dreams that she would have to ask for work standing at the labour’s spot and would have to work on a foot path. She is illiterate and doesn’t even know about her age. She belongs to Mahboobnagar district.
Her husband was a labour who died 15 years ago. Since then she is in Hyderabad. She has no children hence she lives with her brother’s children. Earlier she used to do labour work in Hyderabad but as the work was very hard she left it and started working at a garlic-ginger shop. She earns 150 per day.
The shop owner Anwer sahib has to say that the woman is very honest. The shop owners nearby also said that they had never seen such a hardworking woman.
Mahboob bi told that her father had a garden at Mahboobnagar and her house was famous as “Bagh walon ka ghar”. Hers was a well-off family. They were four sisters and a brother.
She was the youngest. When their parents died their near and dear ones deceived them. She was married off at the age of 13. Since then she is working hard to make both ends meet.
