Chairman of Maharishi Vidya Mandir School Group and Chancellor of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic University, Girish Chandra Verma was held for allegedly sexually exploiting a former woman employee for several years, sources said.
Verma was arrested on the complaint filed by the victim about nine months back. While he was being arrested his security guards offered stiff resistance against police action. Verma was picked up from his ashram on the Bhojpur road and remanded to the Jehangirabad police station for interrogation.
