Mumbai: Constantly being taunted for having a dark complexion and lack of cooking skills, a 28-year-old decided to avenge her humiliation which ended in killing 5 people.
The incident is reported from Khalapur district’s Mahad village were Jyoti Suresh Surwase allegedly mixed insecticide in a relatives housewarming party which killed five people including four children- one man aged around 53yrs and four children aged between 7 and 13 years, News18 reported.
120 guests who also attended the function fell sick due to the food poisoning.
Anil Paraskar, Police Superintendent of Raigad said Jyoti was arrested on Friday evening after she committed the crime. She was booked for murder and other relevant charges
Jyoti got married two years ago, and was always mocked for her dark skin.
She held a grudge since she got married and finally and decided to avenge everyone by killing them the Police said.
The Police has also sent food samples to Forensic Lab which confirmed the presence of insecticide.
Surwase was booked for murder and other relevant offences under the IPC, the officer said.
