Palghar: A massive fire broke out at a manufacturing company in Tarapur MIDC area late Thursday night in Maharashtra’s Palaghar District killing three people while wounding at least twelve others.
According to the initial reports, one of the boiler rooms is believed to be behind the massive violent explosion.
“Around 11:30 pm, we came to know about the incident. Police machinery, revenue machinery and health machinery geared together and they contributed their best to extinguish the fire. Our work of rescue is still continuing,” Palghar District Collector Prashant Narnaware told ANI.
According to SP Palghar, the three dead bodies identified are Pintu Kumar Gauta, Janu Adaria and Alok Nath, all from Arti industries.
“Fire has come down, but few areas are still burning. Six factories were affected by the fire. Novaphene, Unimax, Prachi, Arti, Bharat Rasayan, Darbar. All chemical factories,” he said.
The other injured labourers who have sustained injuries in the explosion were rushed to a nearby hospital said the SP indiatoday reported.
