Mumbai, March 15: Congress today criticised the Opposition for creating a ruckus in both Houses of Maharashtra Legislature demanding resignation of?Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan over the appointment of?P J Thomas as Central Vigilance Commissioner, saying it was raking up a non issue.
“It is sad that instead of making use of the budget session to debate and deliberate on important issues and other prime matters concerning the state, the Opposition is raking up an issue which is not relevant to our state,” MPCC general secretary Sanjay Dutt said.
“It seems the Opposition is left with no concrete issues and is shaken by the Chief Minister’s successful endeavour to bring greater transparency in the functioning of the government and the administration, which has been widely lauded by the common man,” he said.
