Mumbai, December 31: Maharashtra Government today announced Rural Development Minister Jayant Patil as the Guardian Minister for the city.
NCP leader and Water Resources Minister Ajit Pawar would be the Guardian Minister for Pune district and Minority Development Minister Naseem Khan would be the Guardian Minister for suburban Mumbai, a release from CM office said.
The Government has come up with a list of 35 Guardian Ministers in the state. The list includes Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal-Nashik, Revenue Minister Narayan Rane-Sindhudurga, Forests Minister Patangrao Kadam-Sangli and Home Minister R R Patil-Gadchiroli.
