Mumbai, January 17: BJP Maharashtra unit has cancelled a felicitation programme of national president Nitin Gadkari scheduled here tomorrow due to the death of veteran Marxist leader Jyoti Basu.
Senior BJP leader L K Advani was in town today to attend the programme and honour Gadkari and the party MP Gopinath Munde.
However, due to Basu’s demise, the programme has been cancelled for tomorrow, the party officials said.
