Maha ATS to question suspected IM terrorist Shahzad

New Delhi, February 14: Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad is likely to come to the national capital to question suspected Indian Mujahideen terrorist Shahzad against the backdrop of yesterday’s terror attack in Pune, sources said here today.

Shahzad, who is presently in the custody of Delhi Police’s Special Cell in connection with 2008 Delhi serial blasts, had reportedly told police that an Indian Mujahideen terror module is presently active in Pune.

Sources said Maharashtra ATS, which is looking into the Pune blasts, wants to question Shahzad as he had indicated about the presence of the module in the city.

The investigating agencies are yet to ascertain which terror outfit is behind yesterday’s blast which claimed nine lives and left over 50 injured.

“They want to question Shahzad as they feel that he may be able to throw some light into the investigations,” sources said.
