Has Sharmila, Jagan’s sister also played a role in his money laundering? A Telugu newspaper says yes.
Today, a popular daily has published a news story titled “Share-mila” exposing her role in the illegitimate activities of Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and his Jagati Publications (publishers of Sakshi newspaper).
The news report has alleged that Sharmila’s companies have played a key role in the illegal money transactions of Jagan and that CBI was probing her role in the illegal assets case against the Kadapa MP.
Jagan has several times in the past had claimed that because of the soundness of Jagati Publications, several companies had purchased its shares of Rs. 10 for Rs. 350 to Rs. 360. However some Kolkata companies which bought the shares at Rs. 350 to Rs. 360 have disposed them off for Rs. 150 later. Why have these companies incurred such loss if Jagan’s company was flourishing? Were these companies afraid that the share value would further fall and turn out to be disastrous in future because of the CBI probe?.
The reports say that around 20 suitcase (bogus) companies of Kolkata had purchased 2912257 shares at Rs. 350 to Rs. 360 in Jagati publications and sold them at Rs. 150 each to Shah Pratap Industries and IA & IC (P) Ltd., for Rs. 150.
The report says that after the death of his father Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, Jagan took care that the investments from these bogus companies should not come out and got their shares sold to respectable companies, which were sister concerns of the stock market listed JIK Industries Ltd., though for a loss. This amply proved that the companies that had initially invested were all bogus and the money belonged only to Jagan. The report also says that two directors of Sharmila’s companies Anjali Infrastructure, Vijay Green Power and Express Hydro Power – Dasayyagari Chandrasekhara Reddy and Vanipenta Raghunatha Reddy had played a key role in the transfer of shares and the money laundering through the transfer.
Facts would come out when the CBI is through in its investigation into the scam, says the report.
