Government is planning to form a committee comprising of educational experts to run educational institutions under the Madina Group. Waqf Board on Wednesday took over possession of the Madina Group of Institutions, the institutions run by the Madina Group that are situated on Waqf lands.
Waqf Board took possession of the properties under the direct supervision of Special officer Waqf Board Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal (IPS) for violating Mansha-e-Waqf and Waqf Act. Madina Public School, Madina Technical College, Madina Junior College for Girls, Madina Junior college for Boys and Madina Students’ Hostel are run by Madina Education Society.
Waqf board has decided to run the educational institutions under the Madina Group by appointing a committee to look after their day to day management. Special Officer Waqf Board consulted Special Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel in this connection. It is said that a committee will be formed within two days so that the studies of the students is not affected and the educational institutions function as usual.
S. M. Iqbal, Special Officer visited Madina school building at Himayatnagar where the former management had put up a notice saying that the school was closed for two days due to unforeseen reasons. But Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal allayed the apprehensions of the parents and placed a notice that the school will function as usual from January 17. However parents felt that running these institutions is a great challenge for Waqf Board.
