Madhya Pradesh shocker: Journalist run-over by speeding Truck in broad day light

Bhopal: Shocking video footage of a journalist in Madhya Pradesh allegedly run over by a speeding truck in Bhind District has surfaced.

The video footage captured on camera shows a speeding truck running over Journalist Sandeep Sharma who was riding the bike and fleeing the scene near Kotwali police station at 8.55 am.

Journalist Sharma(35) had reportedly filed a complaint with the police alleging threat to his life. He was working on investigating the links between Sand Mafia and the Police.

He was also threatened by the Police for carrying out ‘sting operation’ against the department which would uncover the links between Sand Mafia and the Police.

Sharma had alleged a police cop was connected to illegal sand business by Sand Mafias. Sharm’a sting operation was aired on the local channel with which he was working. Sources say the cop was later transferred after the audio conversation was aired on TV.

Sharma is survived by his wife and two children aged 14 and 15 years. His brother, was serving the armed forces, had reportedly died fighting the terrorists in Kashmir on April 22, 2004.

Even though the Kotwali PS was nearby the crime scene, the Police officials arrived 15 to 20 minutes late at the scene.

District SP Prashant Khare told a thorough investigation of the murder case would be conducted. A special team is also constituted for the murder probe.

The news came even as a local journalist died along with another person after an SUV rammed into their bike in Bhojpur district of Bihar. The journalist’s family has alleged that it was a case of murder and a former village head was behind it.

Naveen and his friend Vijay Singh were riding a motorcycle last night when they were crushed to death by the SUV near Nahsi village. Irate villagers intercepted the vehicle, but its occupants fled. The mob set the SUV on fire, said Avakash Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Bhojpur.

Rajesh, brother of Naveen Nishchal who worked for a Hindi daily, had alleged in the FIR that it was a case of murder and a former Panchayat Mukhiya Ahmed Ali alias Harsu and his son Dabloo were behind it, the SP said. The SUV belongs to Harsu.
