Bhopal: Doctors of a government medical college hospital in district Rewa, removed around 1 kg of unwanted articles such as nails, needles, broken iron chains and even coins from a youth’s body.
After three hours long surgery on Saturday, doctors removed coins worth Rs 790 along with the other items from his body, reported Deccan Chronicle.
“We have removed 263 coins of Rs two, Rs five and Rs 10 denominations, as well as nails and broken iron chains from the stomach of the youth following a surgery”, a member of the team of doctors who conducted the surgery said.
“It seems he is mentally deranged. He was in a serious condition when he was admitted to the hospital. He was now showing sign of improvement in his health,” he added.
He also said that the articles removed from his body appeared to be six months old.
