Madhuri turns singer on reality show

Mumbai: Madhuri Dixit, 49, is an leading Indian actress in the 1980s, 1990s and early-2000s has been praised by critics for her acting and dancing skills, but she surprised everyone with her singing on a reality show, as reported abplive.

Madhuri, who is a judge on dance reality show “So You Think You Can Dance”, was requested by guests Shekhar Ravjiani, Neeti Mohan and Shaan to sing a few lines of one of her songs.

Obliging their request, Madhuri sang “Dholna” from her 1997 film “Dil Toh Pagal Hai”.

Ravijiani, Mohan and Shaan visited the sets for promoting their upcoming singing reality show “The Voice India Kids”, according to a press release.

“So You Think You Can Dance” airs every Saturday and Sunday on &TV channel.

In addition to acting in films, Dixit has featured as a talent judge for four seasons of the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. She has participated in several stage shows and has engaged in philanthropic activities. In 2014, she was appointed the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in India.
