You made Delhi proud: Sisodia to UPSC topper Tina

New Delhi: “You made Delhi proud,” is how Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia greeted 2015 civil services topper Tina Dabi, when she dropped in at the Secretariat here to meet him and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today.

22-year-old Tina, a graduate of Lady Shri Ram College, who achieved the feat in her first attempt met Kejriwal and Sisodia along with UPSC rank three holder Jasmeet Singh Sandhu and few other successful candidates.

Kejriwal, a former Indian Revenue Service officer himself, interacted with the candidates and their families and enquired about the subjects they had chosen, educational backgrounds and plans for the future.

“Congrats to Delhi girl Tina Dabi, topper of UPSC exam. I wish her a bright career,” he had tweeted on May 10, the day UPSC declared the results.

A total of 1,078 candidates, including 499 in General category, 314 belonging to Other Backward Class, 176 from Scheduled Caste and 89 from Scheduled Tribe, have been recommended for appointment to various central government services, the UPSC has said.
