Madani says family will co-operate with terror probe

Kollam (Ker), December 14: With his wife Soofiya Madani being listed as an accused in the Tamil Nadu bus burning case, PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani today said the couple would fully co-operate with the investigation.

However, Madani said he would not be responsible for any consequences, if his wife was arrested and taken to the neighbouring state.

Madani told reporters that he feared if his wife also would have to undergo the suffering he had when lodged in Coimbatore central jail in connection with the Coimbatore serial blast cases.

Denying any link with suspected LeT operative, T Nazir, now in police custody, he said instead of focusing on him and his wife in the 2005 bus burning case, the nexus between the LeT and Kerala has to be exposed.

Madani alleged that some congressmen in the state have conspired to trap his family in the case.
