Telangana state government recently issued a government order (G.O.MS.No. 4) for Shadi Mubarak Scheme for Muslim Brides. Under the Scheme, financial assistance of Rs. 51,000/- at the time of marriage shall be granted to every unmarried girl belonging to the minority community with effect from October 2, 2014.
According to GO, the families would get the money in advanced if the application submitted before one month of the wedding day.
In the aspect of Shaadi Mubarak scheme, Deputy CM of Telangana Md Mahmood Ali on Monday launched “MADAD” helpline to address complains faced by the public, and other Welfare scheme meant for minorities.The helpline number is 040-24760452 and operated from Minority Welfare office at Abids.
Deputy CM pointed out that previous Govt washed off their hand by financially assisting only 300 to 400 families per year for girls wedding. However the TRS Govt is serious about Shaadi beneficiary families enhanced to 60 times, he added.
Addressing mediapersons at the commissionerate for minorities welfare, Ali said that those who wished to avail the scheme could do so by applying online.Further he said, we will ensure that there would be no interference from middlemen.
