Hyderabad, December 10: Former state minister Mr. Mohammad Ali Shabbir has no right to welcome government’s announcement of compensation to wrongly held Muslim youth. If he wants to welcome the package he should first render an unconditional apology to the victims and their families. Maulana Tariq Quadri advocate former member Andhra Pradesh Minority Commission in a statement told this.
He said Mr. Mohammad Ali Shabbir despite being in the cabinet was obstructing the proceedings of the commission when the commission had started investigations to prove Muslim youth as innocent.
Maulana Tariq said that as a responsible citizen and former member of minority commission he is in a position to say that Mr. Mohammad Ali Shabbir’s name is in the forefront among the Muslim leaders who defended Muslim youth’s arrest post Makkah Masjid blast and atrocities meted out to them and who declared police action against them as right.
