Former minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir who is on his tour to New Delhi these days, has met president Pranab Mukherjee, vice president Hamed Ansari, and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi. He congratulated Pranab Mukherjee and Hamid Ansari on becoming the President and Vice president of India respectively. During the goodwill meeting Mohammed Ali Shabbir presented his daughter’s marriage invitation card to them and also to Sonia Gandhi and invited them for the marriage.
Mohammed Ali Shabbir is said to have stressed the need for measures to bring minorities closer to Congress and claimed that these days government has lessened focus on minorities.
