Congress M.P. of Rajya Sabha from Hyderabad, Mr. M.A. Khan expressed his anxiety over the slow progress of investigations on Alair fake encounter. He has given a notice to Chairman Rajya Sabha for initiating discussions in Rajya Sabha on Alair fake encounter.
Leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mr. Gulam Nabi Azad condemned strongly the fake encounter in Alair. He said that police killed five Muslims under-trial prisoners who were handcuffed and they were in police custody. It is impossible for them to attack policemen and to snatch their weapons.
Mr. M.A. Khan dismissed the claim of the police and said that police has shattered the image of law by committing this encounter. People have lost faith in Police. Government avoided investigating through CBI and chose to conduct enquiry through SIT but before starting enquiry, Mr. Sandeep Shandalia proceeded on leave which raises doubt about investigations.
