Ludhiana, March 04: Host Ludhiana topped the men’s athletics medalls tally by pocketing 26 points in the inaugural Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh Punjab Games in progress here at Guru Nanak Stadium today.
Gurdaspur was at the second spot with 22 points whereas Jalandhar got 21 points and remained third.
Ludhiana got four gold, one silver and one bronze, Gurdaspur bagged one gold, two silver and five bronze medals whereas Jalandhar pocketed two gold, two silver and one bronze.
Jalandhar grabbed 23 points in women’s athletics and topped the tally. Tarn Taran was on second place with 19 points and Gurdaspur finished third with 18 points.
Jalandhar won three gold, one silver and one bronze, while Tarn Taran got one gold, three silver and two bronze and Gurdaspur bagged two gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
