LSP, PRP attend all-party meet convened by Naidu

Hyderabad, October 18: For the first time, the representatives of Lok Satta and Praja Rajyam parties attended an all-party meeting convened by TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu at NTR Bhavan on Saturday.

CPM state secretary BV Raghavulu wanted all the Opposition parties to launch a united fight against the ruling Congress.

He wanted the main Opposition TDP to work with LSP and PRP also since it has some reservations to work with them. TDP convened an allparty meting today and even invited LSP and PRP.

LSP president Jayaprakash Narayan and PRP MLA K Kannababu attended the meeting.

Though Kannababu shared a common dais with Naidu to address the media, the LSP president did not attend the press briefing as he was preoccupied with some other work.

It may be recalled that PRP president Chiranjeevi too said that TDP should play a big brother role and coordinate with other parties.

According to sources, before attending today’s meeting Raghavulu double checked whether LSP and PRP leaders were invited to the meeting and later verified whether they were attending the meeting or not.

It may be recalled that Naidu was sore over the emergence of PRP and LSP, as they took away the votes of TDP and were responsible for the defeat of the TDP in 2009 Assembly elections.

Finally, it seems, Naidu succumbed to the pressure of CPM leader BV Raghavulu and changed his tacks.
