LS polls: Feroz Khan campaigns in Old City, criticizes Asaduddin Owaisi

Hyderabad: Congress candidate for Hyderabad Lok Sabha Constituency, Mr. Feroz Khan told that he has a plan to transform the Old City into Gold City. He said that Old City remained backward due to the negligence of the leaders. He applauded the talents of the youths of Old City and said that there is a need to provide them right guidance and encouragement. He lamented that they were exploited for political purposes in the past.

He expressed these thoughts while meeting the people in Chandrayangutta area which is the Assembly constituency of Mr. Akbaruddin Owaisi. He received warm welcome at various places. He started his tour from the yellow dargah, Salalah. He covered Mumtaz Bagh, Keshavgiri Hills, Kumharwadi and adjoining areas. He was garlanded at various places. He was accompanied by local Congress leader, Mr. Esa bin Obaid Misri and others.

Mr. Feroz Khan further told that other areas of the city like Hitec City, Cyberabad etc are developing due to the boon of Information Technology but Old City is being neglected.

Muslim leadership is not bothered to develop Muslim habitations. Metro Rail project could not be started in the Old City. The worst situation is that in Old City, old buses of RTC are plying whereas air-conditioned buses are reserved for the new city.

He appealed to the people of Hyderabad to give him a chance to serve them. He further told that if he fails to fulfill the promises he is making, he will not come back to people. He compared the situation of Madhapur, Hitec City, Airport area and other posh localities of Hyderabad with the Old City and asked who is responsible for this.

Attacking Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi, MP of Hyderabad, he said that Mr. Owaisi is giving an impression that he is the only representative of the Muslims but he never took any step for the educational and economic development of the Muslims.

He mentioned that there are 60% youths in the Old City who are dreaming for the bright future but no opportunity is being provided to them.
