In view of the delay in issuing Aadhar Cards, the State Govt. had requested the Central Govt. to extend the date of implementation of payment of subsidy to the consumers of LPG cylinders. Dr. B.R. Ramesh, IAS Principal Secretary (Finance) told this yesterday.
He told that on an experimental basis, Central Govt. had started the scheme of direct payment of subsidy to LPG consumers belonging the five districts of AP namely, Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Anantapur, Chittoor and East Godavari.
Central Govt. has now extended the date of implementation of subsidy scheme upto 15th May 2013 which is final and no further extension could be granted. According to the survey reports, the second phase of this scheme would be started in more districts soon.
