Low water level at Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar, CM appeals people to use drinking water carefully

Hyderabad: CM of Telangana State, Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao appealed to the people of Hyderabad and Nalgonda to be careful in using drinking water. He instructed the officials to release water from Singur Project. Various districts of Telangana had heavy rainfall but in Hyderabad, the rain was not according to the expectations. The water accumulated in Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar is not sufficient to meet the requirements of the people. During the current year, no water was released from Krishna River due to which the water level in Nagarjuna Sagar has also come down.

On instructions from CM, Mr. Harish Rao, Irrigation Minister became active and discussed the issue with Mr. Murlidhar Rao, Engineer-in-Chief and instructed the officials to carry out the orders of the CM.
