Hyderabad: Taking everyone by surprise by his comment, MIM chief and Hyderabad candidate Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday claimed that low voter turnout is always advantageous to candidates.
Times of India quoted Owaisi as saying, “Low voter turnout will always be an advantage for politicians like me where I will know where my voter base is.”
After exercising his franchise, Owaisi said that only five VVPAT’s are counted in each assembly constituency, it would be better if more number of VVPATs are counted.
Saying that the violence in AP elections was unfortunate he wished Jaganmohan Reddy becomes the CM.
Owaisi lamented that the model code of conduct was not implemented properly. He expressed surprise that Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not get a notice for his speech in Wardha (Maharashtra) where he equated terrorism with one religion thereby casting aspersions on another religion.
Accusing BJP rival Bhagwant Rao of spreading lies, MIM chief tweeted: “All lies everything is peaceful and polling is free & fair maybe someone should tell this…… all booths have a cctv camera, & BJP couldn’t find even P agents to sit”
